DHU Deep Space Nine (ds9) project

Hi and as I understand people are starting to find our section of the universe a little boring aka DHU. In recent events both staff and players have been quitting for a variety of reasons but mainly for the reason that it is boring. This is why we now announce the introduction of the Deep Space Nine project.

How you may ask it got it's name or what it is. We are cleaning out all the useless useless features and putting in brand new features which may appeal more attractive aka the 3.0 version of the server. Also there will be major staff changes which one of the admins are currently working on as the situation for staff is in a mess as everybody should know at the moment. So in the next 30 days this is what to expect.

• Staff Changes
• Mob capture
• Ability to sell mob eggs to make money
• More admin shops with infinit money/items
• Mob arena without dupe glitches

EMC and Equivalent Exchange
Energy Condensers working just like Equivalent Exchange have been added to DHU and now we can say good by to those useless items. What makes this even more exciting is that it is a craftable chest and although the plugin isn't fully tested you *might* be able to use hoppers for it. I sure hope everybody enjoys this plugin as it means we will have fewer shops and no more problems with the shop running out of money. If this proves to be as bigger success as it makes out to be we may be able to remove towny taxes but will still need to keep the player taxes for those with over $200,000 and this will go towards a monthly auction contest as prize money for those who are poor.

This is cwarn23 announcing a few background changes in addition to the new spawn (mcmyadmin notably) upon our advanced infrastructure.

You may have noticed today that you have had troubles on occasion connecting to some servers and more recently not been able to connect to any server. This is because once again the mojang servers are overloaded (not ours). Unfortunately there is little we can do about that until we get around to developing a custom authentication plugin which works in conjunction of the mojang authentication servers (eg one is down use other) but that will be some time as we have better things to worry about.

The next announcement is that freebuild is somewhat back up and running or at least as soon as the mojang servers allow you to log in. Freebuild was down for a period of time as some of the plugins were causing errors and crashed the server as soon as somebody logged in. That has now been fixed and tested.

It has come to my attention that we are a little low on staff and the game to get [Mod] is a little tricky
as i have decided to bring in the [Helper] rank.


This rank will give the ability of architects and will also bring along the power to /mute and /kick people. To apply for this rank you will have to apply under the tab Staff and forum thread Helper.
you will have to use the template posted by Kylerhagler, also you will need to put (FreeBuild) next to your name in the title.

As some might have noticed FTB as been undergoing some changes lately including what was listed in the previous two announcements of FTB. I have been hearing that people still can't connect so I thought I would do up a new therad for FTB to address most of these issues. For those not aware we now have a new ip address for the FTB server and is as follows:
ftb.dhugaming.com
Try not to mix it with the freebuild ip address which is fb.dhugaming.com.

Along with the next common problem is that we have upgraded to the ultimate pack as apposed to the mindcrack pack which we used to run on. That means on the FTB launcher you need to click Ultimate 1.4.7 on the left side menu then select recommended at the top left and click launch.
Keep in mind that currently the ftb team are dealing with issues on their bandwidth meaning that you can't download the ultimate pack when you click launch so before you click launch for the first time you will need to download the file below:...

As many may have seen in my previous thread, the FTB server has now been updated to the ultimate pack however some people may have problems in downloading the ultimate pack due to bandwidth issues and server capacity issues the FTB team are currently dealing with. The current problem with downloading the ultimate pack for FTB is it may cause to client to crash or the game won't function at all and only the vanilla files will download.

Unfortunately there are only 2 ways around this issue. One is the wait between 2 days to 2 weeks for the FTB team to fix the problem and you can download it like normal and the other option is for somebody to email/send you the Ultimate directory in your ftb base folder and paste it on your computer in the same location which will give you the same copy as the sender.

If you wish for somebody to give you their ultimate directory it is quite simple. The directory your feed the beast launcher.jar is in has several folders in it and the sender will...

I am posting this to inform you that the survival server is now updated to version 1.5 in record time however although most of the plugins were ready to use for the update there were one or two that were not. The most notable was shopkeeper causing the temporary closure of the section of the admin shops that was handled with villager trades.
To fix this problem from occuring again in the comming week there will be a better and more independent plugin used to replace villager trades so we won't have to worry about loosing the admin shops again.

Just as a bit of advice for those who are still moving from stratos to Towny, Admins may not move structures between the worlds for you but they can delete a structure in one world and in that same world give you the items not blocks. I can't stress that enough. That means in world edit terms that admin will only do "//replace obsidian 0" and give the player the amount of obsidian destroyed by throwing it on the floor. I hope this clears up...

THE DIAMOND HOARDERS FEED THE BEAST SERVER


Yes you heard that right, we are adding a feed the beast server to our group of servers.

A couple things regarding the FTB server:

• It will be using the Mindcrack FTB pack
• It will be a whitelist server with application
• Only Donators can apply at first
• Griefing of any kind will result in immediate ban from FTB server
• Application Info will be Posted Shortly
• No Items will be spawned
• No one will have creative or be able to spawn items(Including Admins)
• Whining about anything will get you un-whitelisted temporarily
• All Rules are subject to change
• P0ly is in charge of everything for the FTB Server(His word is law)

I am doing a 100% backup of the entire server currently. I am trying to get a complete backup of the Survival Server so I can start to work on the new 1.4.6 server. Server will be up in 1 hour. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Okay guys and gals we've encountered some problems with our current server is having some problems. For starters all of our maps and worlds have been corrupted while trying to update the server. Also they have gotten to be so large and cumbersome that, as most of you have noticed, lags the server. We have been diligently trying to come up with a solution to this problem and we may have found it. It's this mod that's been out for about a year now and has successfully eliminated most anti-griefing mods, also it takes the place of the towny mod. This mod will eliminate a lot of server lag and problems we've been encountering but there's a down side. ALL WORLDS WILL BE RESET. I know some of you will want to leave the server because all of your work is now gone we are terribly sorry for this. Just please at least try the new server before...
